Candy-Mountains-Dirndl: ein tragbares Gemälde für den guten Zweck

On November 29, 2025, in cooperation with the traditional costume and manufacturing company Grasegger in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, the first Candy Mountains dirndl was created. As part of a six-hour live performance at the Grasegger fashion house, I treated a white Manufaktur dirndl like a canvas and transformed it into a colorful mountain landscape from the work group Candy Mountains transformed.

The Candy Mountains were created during a phase of isolation and revolve around the ambivalence of home: mountain ranges as a shelter, a place of longing and at the same time as a border that initially blocks the horizon. I have transferred this tension to the linen satin of the dirndl using bold, bright colors - as an alpine composition that can be worn on the body.

The special thing about this project is that the skirt of the dirndl can later be removed, stretched on a stretcher frame and presented on the wall as a painting in its own right. The Candy Mountains dirndl thus moves between couture, painting and object - initially as a piece of clothing in the room, later as a picture surface.

Das Unikat wird im Anschluss an die Live-Performance in einer silent auction in favor of the Mountain rescue Garmisch and the KJE Garmisch-Partenkirchen offered. The auction runs up to and including January 5, 2026The minimum bid is €1,000, with all proceeds going to the two institutions.
