CANDY MOUNTAINS

THE BOUNDARY OF REALITY

CANDY MOUNTAINS transforms the mountain landscape around Garmisch-Partenkirchen into intense, artificially heightened color spaces. Familiar landscapes remain recognizable while simultaneously veering into the unreal. Behind the visual lightness, isolation, boundaries, and distance emerge. This ongoing series of works explores how landscape can convey memory, a sense of belonging, and inner states. It encompasses painting and drawing and is continuously evolving.
